Good design makes your heart glad. The beauty of REMO is that someone does all the searching for me. Lovely things are just a point and click away. My REMO Story: Deciding to move to Melbourne in 1984, meant that I had to make regular trips back to Sydney to see family. Then REMO opened in Darlinghurst and I have to admit, I didn't always go back to Sydney to see family. My favourite REMO purchase of many? My Cuisenaire Rods T Shirt. It reminds me of those early school days. I have a set of the real things and put them out on the coffee table to amaze my friends' children - here's how we did it before calculators! Thanks so much for a great website, now I can get back on the wagon for hours of happy clicking. My CustOMER NetworkMy FavouritesMy Wishlist
My CustOMER Ratings & Comments
So happy to have my new Perkins Paste Long Sleeve T to wear around in Melbourne, where no one has a clue about it! I can certainly remember the smell and taste of it, the absolute highlight of Kinder and Grade One in 1964/5 at Loftus Primary School! Clag just didn't cut it. What I wouldn't give for just one more of those purple pots of joy! Now if only I could remember how to play with my Italian Playing cards? Wed 7 Feb 2007 | 02:17 PM SYD EST Design | Tribute to E.W. Cole | 2007
I can never walk through Howey Place in Melbourne without thinking of Cole's Book Arcade. Once upon a time it was the lane that 'joined' the Little Collins Street store to the Collins Street one. The glass roof still exists. I have three of his Funny Picture Books and for years tried to get a nickname starting with either 'c' or 'p' so I could be an actress or waitress by the Whatanhoo Chart in Book 3! You'll find much 'Cole' inspiration in Peter Carey's 'Illywhacker' too. If only our leaders were so wise! Tue 27 Feb 2007 | 09:36 PM SYD EST
This has really made my Christmas. Along with all the new reading material I am expecting - I can happily dart away to make sure I can always find that brilliant quote again! Thanks so much Remo for tracking these down and making them available. Didn't know they came in a tin - added bonus. Cheers from the bookworm Kim Wed 19 Dec 2007 | 02:00 PM SYD EST CustOMER Comments About MeOnly CustOMERs get to Rate & Comment. |
