 | Essential cuttlery
I have been using splades for as far back as my memory goes. When I moved away from home I stole my mothers splayds (circa 1964). One day I will replace them, though I doubt she'll forgive me that sin. My husband apparently KNOWS they are dessert cuttlery and refuses to use them. We have had fights about who is right. I remain smug and reach for my trusted splayd all the more. I recently purchased a set of mini ones so that I can ensure my own children share my appreciation and it seems to be working, my 1 year old is now reaching for his mini splayd at every mealtime!

| Best invention EVER
There are two kinds of people in the world; those who love splayds, and those who hate them. Actually, there is a third kind, those poor unfortunate souls who have never encountered the splayd... I use them for nearly every meal. And had a difficult time searching to purchase more without having to buy a complete new cutlery set. Stock up on your splayds everyone and convert the non-splayders! (I did't know they were an Aussie invention!!! Now I love them even more!) Spread the word!

Received my Splayds two days ago and I've used them for nearly every meal. Works with stews and noodles and they seem invented for pie a'la mode.

| Splayds
How could we live without them? I received a set when I first married in 1964 and they are still going strong.
Obviously the rest of the world just doesn't get it.
You'd think those yanks would want them, then they wouldn't have to pick up and put down their knives a million times during a steak meal.

| AT LAST!!!
My sister brought back a set for Mom when she moved back with her family from Oz, & the jealousy ensued... My husband has been bugging me for these for YEARS, but you can't find them in the states. When they arrived, it was quite a happy day! Happiness is in the little things... THANKS!

i have been using splayds since the 70's my kids who are now married are desperate to steal my splayds/sporks. my eldest daughter who is 32 years old has been trying to get them on the net. thought i would surprise them as i have found them at your store and i ordered 4 sets. they have just arrive. EXCELLENT can't wait to see their faces when they see i have new splayds and the pleasure i will have giving them to my daughters.

| Great for people who read while we eat
We read while we eat - probably one of the secrets to our 20+ year marriage. With Splayds, we can eat one-handed! (Y'all might want to look at a USA product called BookMates to further aid this disgusting habit.) We plan on giving future sets as wedding presents...

| old friends
My mum had 3 sets as wedding gifts in 1962. Every household had them. I was given a set when I moved into a shared flat during uni in 1993 - and they were claimed by an old boyfriend. I couldn't resist buying another set here, and it's just like old times. My old friends. How did I manage without them?!

I love this product. We were fortunate to receive a set when we married and they've been in use every week ever since. They're simply the best tool for eating a bowl of Laksa!

| Best eating instrument for the disabled
As a disabled person, this is one item that I can not live without. It allows me to eat one handed, I even bring one with me when I go out to eat (on that rare occasion due to my being on Social Security Disability). I have my original set from when I lived in Australia with my late fiancee's family.

My mother had a set in the 1960s which she used for those stand around parties of the time. She also had some plates which you could clip the wine glass onto, but that's another story ....They are a fantastic idea. The only way to eat in front of the TV without being a yobbo and using fingers. Bring them back!!

| The special case for Splayds
Since 1950, my left arm, hand and shoulder have been paralysed. Most of the time, I make do with the sort of eating utensils you two-handed people use, but with Splayds, I achieve dining equality. Hurrah for Splayds, I say!

| The cutting edge of cutlery.
I remember using these when I was very young. Great for eating pies. :) We also had the UK version, but they called them a runcible spoon.

| Very practical
I was given the Splayds by my aunts-in-law and think they are excellent for serving pavlova with assorted add-ons, cake with cream (very suitable for those who eat cake with forks). Every entertaining house should have them. Perfect wedding gift, I say!

| What a great wedding gift
My lovely wife says that they are daggy, but even after 17 years I still love to use these clever things. They were a gift bought from the "20th Century" REMO. Wonderful to see that they are still available...

| 70s flashbacks
I remember my parents & their friends serving buffets with splayds many many years ago. I fear that they are outdated & a bit daggy, but they are so useful - my family & I love ours & use them often. We also have some dessert size ones that are perfet for babies to use.

I'd never even HEARD of them before we got engaged. My mother-in-law is a custOMER and got us some as an engagement gift. Now I'm a convert. Especially for face decoration.

My daughter insists on doing everything with one hand (even though her other hand is perfectly fine) She is however, left-handed (not her fault) Are there left handed Splayds? For then life at the dinner table would be truely perfect.

Splayds are excellent, and have spawned the modern-day SPORK: the takeaway all-in-one spoon/fork.
My only beef with them is that they're made for right-handers - although I managed to be given a set of copycats for left-handers, which pleased me no end!
Do Splayds come in a right-brained model? ;-)

Yeah, there's no denying Splayds are an innovative Oz invention, but they belong in the seventies, man!
Sorry, but only yobbos eat with one paw. Genteel persons dine with a fork in their left hand and a knife in their right. Or perhaps a pair of slender 'o hashi' ['chopsticks']. No exceptions.
...Or *are* there??
