Apart from remembering the awesome general store window displays, my first real introduction to Remo was when, as an advertising sales consultant, I approached Remo about online advertising. I didn't get the sale. What I did get, however, was an opportunity - an opportunity to be part of something wonderful. For over a hundred years, visually impaired craftsmen and women at SRF Hantverk in Sweden have been making brushes by hand, according to an old 19th Century tradition.
Their Shaving Brush, designed by Lovisa Wattman, is made from maple and badger hair. It comes as part of a set. The Shaving Cup, also designed by Lovisa Wattman, is made of concrete. Quite striking ... and very Swedish (or so we are told). Finally, the Shaving Soap (also available as a refill) is handmade in Sundborn, Sweden.
