Acme brand whistles, horns and bird calls have been manufactured by the venerable J. Hudson & Co. (Whistles) Ltd. in Birmingham England since 1870.

We used to sell a whole range of them in our General Store (and maybe we will again) ... including the very wonderful Acme Nightingale Call from which this label has been lifted.

But PLEASE make it long-sleeved as well. Want to be warmer in winter and rollup in summer .... also avoid many cancerous lesions on the luscious forearms.

errrr ~ what! ~ acme ~ 1870 ~ there's real killer prior art ~ for you ~ when i think ~ acme ~ i think ~ chuck jones ~ i think ~ always ~ my mate ~ wile e coyote ~ there ~ in the desert ~ busily unpacking ~ what? ~ a nightingale call! ~ oooo ~ the mind simply ~ boggles! ~ also ~ invokes ~ memories of ~ what ~ martingales ~ canadian mate ~ vik viking ~ there ~ in front of blackboard ~ draws a horizontal line ~ slyly says ~ "let this be a martingale" ~ sure vik ~ f nice one ~ gales ~ of ~ not laughter ~ but ~ disbelief ~ and ~ that's a whole ~ other story ~ and perhaps ~ one no less mind boggling ~ mathematically speaking ~ of course :]]

I lived in Sydney 1990-1994 and I miss you very much. I used to visit the shop at least once a week. It made me very happy to walk around in the shop and find the best of everything. I treasure my Eternety T-shirt but I need a new one soon. I also treasure the REMO catalogues that I collected during my years in Sydney. I constantly show them to friends as examples of good taste and great graphical design. Good luck with the global store concept. I am positive it will be a success.
