| I've had one for almost 20 years! I bought mine in the Oxford Street store and have cherished it ever since.
I use it to talk to the Rainbow Lorikeets that come to window every day.
I can't wait until you get more in so I can give them to my friends as presents.

| pygmy marmosets cannot be wrong I took my bird-caller to the zoo and I noticed as I passed the pygmy marmoset cage that they were chirping to each other... so I took the bird caller from my pocket and chirped. The monkeys became so excited - it was incredible. Within a minute all of the marmosets were crowding on the patch of wire closest to me - reaching through the cage in an attempt to hold onto the bird call... And this bird call makes convincing bird calls too.

| Amazing - apparently! Father's day gift for a zoologist. 8 year old grandson had to show him how to use it and the birds of Mt Tamborine have never been the same!

| CHEAP AND EASY PET With the right amount of Rosin my new birdie caller sounds so real its like having your own bird, great to tease the cat."Talked" to the neighbours aviary and the birdies responded!
| Best loved item of my modest bird-call collection As a musician and inveterate lover of anything that makes an interesting noise, I bought an Audubon bird call from Remo and frankly have never regretted it. Regularly enjoying chirpy conversations with tiny feathered creatures, and with practice a range of expressive and convincing bird immitations becomes possible. Most rewarding interaction, walking in the woods becomes an interactive experience with the wonderful Audubon squeaker.

| One of my favourite things Bought one of these at Oxford Street years ago. Not sure why. But it remains in the top drawer of my desk. Comes out for a chirp every now and then. V therapeutic. And birds chirp back. Gives you faith in the universe somehow. A simple, quirky, honest, good, fun thing. And cheep. I mean cheap.

| great little gift it does work :-)
i've given them to people of many ages - 7 and 10 year old boys [who were fascinated and left their computers and consoles to play with a bit of wood!] to parents of babies.

| Great to wake up kids I have always had one of these gizmos since I was a kid. Works great. Not only do I use it on walks in the woods to converse with feathered friends, but also use it to wake sleeping teens who do not wish to do chores. Drives them nuts.

| Defence of the Birdcall Netherlands Rob, maybe yours is a different version? Mine is still happily squeaking after 11 years or sporadic use. It comes with a capsule full of rosin (you know the stuff they use on voilins). Maybe you need a dash of that.

| good...and what more can you ask The mother-in-law bemoaned the ever shrinking bird population...the cars drive them away...so, I gave her one of these. The birds like it. So she likes it. So I like it.
Mother-in-laws are not always so easily pleased.

| don't buy it In the first place it's to expensive and it stops making a sound very fast.
I'm the owner off a bird call and after 2 weeks it doesn't make a sound any more.
I think I must be hallucinating. When you were in Darlinghurst I loved the store.I thought you would just become part of an urban myth as the coolest store ever when you closed. Now you are back... with a vengeance I hope.
