British journalist George McDonald was an author of travel books until he realised that people were sick of carrying around large guides stuffed with superfluous information. He experimented with numerous ways of folding an A4 sheet of paper and, eureka, came up with the "Z-CARD" ... two stiff cards stuck to a single printed sheet that allows for easy expansion and contraction along a Z shaped path. That was in 1990. Today the Z-CARD network is stretched over 64 countries with 10 production hubs operating throughout the world.
