Are you fed up with bringing bananas (or other fruits for that matter) to work or school only to find them bruised and squashed?

The Banana Guard allows for the safe transport and storage of individual bananas; letting you enjoy perfect bananas anytime, anywhere ...

Banana Guard was specially designed to fit the vast majority of bananas.

Its other features include multiple small perforations to facilitate ventilation thereby preventing premature ripening and a sturdy locking mechanism to keep the Banana Guard closed.

Banana Guard is dishwasher safe for easy cleaning.

NEW in 2009 are the Froot Guards and Froot Cases:

+ The Froot Guard was specially designed to fit the average size larger round fruit such as apples, pears and peaches however its use is certainly not limited to holding just these fruit. Many place their grapes and cherries in these as well. The Froot Guard is made of the same sturdy, FDA approved plastic used in the Banana Guard and also features a carabiner hook so that it can easily be attached to the outside of your backpack. A sturdy locking mechanism prevents premature opening and there are several ventilation holes so your fruit doesn't end up fermenting! Specs: 9 cm (3.5 inches) in diameter by 10 cm (4 inches) in height.

+ The Froot Case has all the same benefits as the Froot Guard. This beauty will stop your smaller fruits like kiwi's, plums and apricots from sustaining undesirable trauma. Specs: 6 cm (2.375 inches) in diameter by 7.5 cm (3 inches) in height.

Now we've got all CustOMER fruit protected :)

I bought one of these for my daughter to take to school as she is a banana-loving teenager. What a hit! When we run out of bananas she fills it with lychees! No more squishy, mouldy, slimy mess in the backpack AND plenty of laughs as well!

Lyndell Murray

Lyndell Murray has given this product a 5 star rating | Hallelujah!
My banana guard has already saved me two bananas in the last week! I was a bit sceptical but I figured it was only ten bucks... much less than the cost of the who-knows-how-many bananas I've wasted in the bottom of backpacks, handbags, and in back pockets of cycling jerseys. This contraption is too bulky for use by cyclists on the road... and is a bit funny looking... but if you love practicality (and bananas) don't hesitate!

Kathryn Elkins

Kathryn Elkins has given this product a 4 star rating | Wanted- pear guard
I need a pear guard! Banana guard is good however apples are pretty hardy creatures and need little protection, but pears are lethal. Nearly ruined a beautiful purse, an ipod, data stick and leather gloves with one single pear, even a slightly unripe one. They are weapons of mass destruction. Bring on the pear guard.

Brilliant piece of plastic ware that has saved many a bottom of the bag fruity mishap. But my sister and I are wondering when you are going to bring out a peach/nectarine version for stone fruit season?????

I bought this for Dad for Christmas. I checked with Mum the other day and she said that she puts a banana in it every day for his lunch and he is very very happy. No more bruises and squashed bits. Thankfully the 'kids' at work don't make fun!

love the concept (my daughter wasted lots of bananas at school last year). had to give her a couple of lessons in opening it though: the tabs at the ends click VERY firmly. BTW, that must be a HUGE banana in the demo model!

Even if it wasn't such a nifty banana-saver, buying one is worth it just for the entertainment value - the expressions on people's faces when they see it for the first time are priceless.

Really bonkers. I haven't bought one because I don't need more plastic stuff in my kitchen. Why does fruit have to be so complicated?

I rediscovered you after a friend mentioned an article in a NZ magazine - immediately I was reminded of the joy of receiving your catalogues, chocolate sardines, lots of LOVE stuff, green eggs 'n' ham, fez, Heisenberg - just to name a few. I still have my Einstein mug and my Perkins Paste long-sleeve (it was the last, ex-display in the Crown St store - never to return there....) and look forward to expanding my collection and introducing more fans!
