Hand drawn in New York in 1985 by Remo Giuffré, 3 years prior to the 1988 launch of REMO in Sydney.

The design is a montage borrowing the best bits from a number of New York's ubiquitous take-out coffee cups. A true icon to The Metropolis, this cup is gazed upon by millions of sleepy New Yorkers (and detectives on stake outs) as they read their papers and munch on their bagels.

A familiar and intimate image for bankers and hustlers alike. A great leveller.

| Propmasters Rule!
Since I purchased the first one several months ago, this shirt has become the "uniform" of my props film crew. We (& just about every prop in the US) use these cups all the time for our actors; now we can be identified by it as a symbol. Don't buy this shirt because I want my peeps to be the only ones wearing it!

like this ~ not sure why ~ probably because ~ from a distance ~ it looks like a bit ripped from the back of a cool pair of jeans ~ mouse-over inspection ~ nope ~ its not ~ just a coffee cup ~ with attitude ~ still ~ coffee is good ~ with ~ morning papers ~ with bagels ~ close to heaven ~ note to file ~ check in to optometrist ~ check in at grandes ~ try out this metropolis thing :)

| Adaptability to Environment
It's funny how you can get used to something, if you drink it often enough ... like traditional diner New York coffee. However, back in Sydney now, where the coffee is GREAT; so, I'm not sure how I would go with a cup of NY Joe.
