Welcome to our NEWLY RELAUNCHED and exclusive Cornishware department!

T.G.Green & Co. first produced Cornishware in the 1920s. The distinctive blue and white banded pottery owes its name to an employee who said it reminded them of the blue sky and white-crested waves of Cornwall. Over eight decades, Cornishware adorned millions of British homes and become a design classic. In the 1960s, it was updated by a young designer called Judith Onions. It says much for her skill and sensitivity that this restyled range was embraced as warmly as the originals had been. Over the past 20 years, the range has become highly prized by collectors, with the sighting of both rare original designs and Onions classics the subject of much excitement, and ever-increasing prices.

Then, despite continuing popularity, the factory was forced into administration in 2007 (at REMO we know that feeling). Supplies became scarce and Cornishware became highly sought after, with items commanding breathtaking prices on eBay.

It's 2009 and Cornishware is back! T.G.Green & Co was rescued from extinction in 2008 by entrepreneur Charles Rickards, a lifelong fan, and brand consultant Perry Haydn Taylor, whose wife Vik is a serious Cornishware collector. They will ensure that the brand remains true to the design principles that made it a classic and a part of everyday life: practicality, simplicity, durability and beauty. We have taken great care to preserve the characteristics that made this English classic, but have also ensured that it can be used with dishwashers, microwaves and ovens.

The complete range of Cornishware is now available in Australia. Only at REMO.

Choose from a range that includes: Plates, Mugs, Bowls, Cups, Saucers, Teapots, Storage Jars, Jugs, Basins, Egg Cups & more.

Also, all Cornishware is now presented in beautiful card gift boxes, in the distinctive blue and white stripes bearing the T.G.Green & Co. shield. This not only ensures that your pieces reach you in good condition, they also make Cornishware the perfect gift, with a box that can be recycled to store something special.

NB re Delivery Times: Please no FAST orders for Cornishware. We carry limited stocks at our Bondi HQ, so you will likely have to wait up to 2 weeks for your order. Thanks.

Robin Spencer

Robin Spencer has given this product a 5 star rating | remembering grandma
There is nothing else like Cornish Blue... My grandma always had a dreadnought jug full of clotted cream on the breakfast table, lunch table, afternoon tea table, every table! Oh I had forgotten about the beakers! My sibs and cousins and I drank our milk at grandmas from those wonderful blue and cream striped beakers - led to a lifelong obsession with blue and white/cream china. Sigh.

I love Greek Oregano, its pungent scent takes me to the Greek mountains. This is the perfect vessel to store it. I know that the ancestors are smiling down...

I have had one since when ever and sadly I have abused the handle. So glad to be able to replace it. Sadder still is the news that such a great tradition has come to an end. It is from this companies signature look that all over the world we associate blue and cream stripes as the signature look of dairy and specifically milk products.

My son and I make chocolate muffins in it at least once a week. No drips when transferring between bowl and cake tin means more batter for him to lick off the spoon. Yay!

I bought the 500ml mug for my husband's birthday & we both adore it. If only I had more space, more money, before they all run out...

I've got a good collection going now! What am I going to do when you sell out??! Did you know you could get it in all kinds of colours (Isn't the pink sweet!) and even polka dots. It's got a great broad appeal - retro, country - you name it - it's hard to beat!

Melanie Giuffre

Melanie Giuffre has given this product a 5 star rating | Classics, and rightly so ...
My favourite Cornish Blue piece is the 12oz mug ... which is the PERFECT cup for my very important morning-tea-in-bed-with-newspaper ritual. It's just the right size, so you feel like you're getting a good dose; it holds the heat well; and is just a very satisfying overall experience. My other newly favourite piece is the pasta bowl: good size; good gradation on the sides; perfect for stews, pastas, etc. Everything Cornish Blue looks great, truly classic and well made ... things that you'd want to pass on to your children.

You do not mention TG Green's Sydney connection, nor his somewhat esoteric association with the annotated version of Alice in Wonderland! Robert

My sister introduced me to Remo when I was a wee eight years old. She came home one day with the 'Love Me/Love Me Not' spinning heart brooch as a gift, and I still take it with me whenever I travel. I have such fond memories of the photobooth with its assorted Santas at Christmas (Trout Fishing In Quebec!), and the printed catalogues with gingerbread recipes. I still miss the place, but am delighted to see a little piece of it here.
